I am a doctoral candidate in the Department of Sociology at Duke University. I specialize in medical sociology and demography. My research interests focus on the social determinants of health and health inequalities across the life course.
In addition to my research as a graduate student, I have had the opportunity to teach multiples courses at Durham Tech Community College and Duke. Furthermore, I also participated in the Certificate of College Teaching offered by the graduate school and am a 2019-2020 fellow in the Preparing Future Faculty program.
Before beginning my doctoral studies at Duke, I earned a bachelor's of arts in French studies and a master's of science in sociology from Brigham Young University.
